Frosted Cranberry Empress Gin Cocktail
Serves 230 mins prep40 mins cook
The Frosted Cranberry Empress Gin Cocktail is a holiday cocktail to impress anyone. For real, I’ve paid way too much for cocktails at expensive restaurants and glitzy bars, but I’d pay up for this one.

What you need

dried cranberries
oz lemon

clove

oz orange

cup sugar

cranberry bread

oz whole cranberry sauce

egg white

ice

cup sparkling water
Instructions
Cranberry Spice Simple Syrup (make ahead) Heat all ingredients in a saucepan on medium heat, whisking until sugar dissolves. Reduce to a simmer and heat for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and strain. Allow syrup to cool complete before using in your cocktails. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 weeks. Mix Your Cocktail Add gin, lemon juice, simple syrup, Bénédictine, egg white, and cranberry bitters to a shaker WITHOUT ice. Dry shake for 30 seconds – vigorously. The harder you shake the better the drink will be! Add ice to shaker to the top and shake again – vigorously – for another 30 seconds. Gently pour into a chilled coupe glass. OPTIONAL but recommended – Drop a few dots of cranberry bitters on the top of the froth and swirl or otherwise decorate with a cocktail stick. This will also make the drink more pinkish/red in color.
